Le Crystal Jade, c'est un restaurant situé dans un centre commercial de Hong-Kong, qui semble insignifiant tellement il y a d'une part de centres commerciaux ici, et d'autre part tellement il y a de restaurants.
Pourquoi sommes-nous allés ici ? Parce que nous en avons entendu parler comme un incontournable de HK, grâce à ses nouilles maisons fabuleuses. Chose sympathique, il est situé à deux pas de chez nous, à Causeway Bay, au deuxième étage du World Trade Center. Il y en a en tous 10 à HK, dont un autre pas très loin, toujours à Causeway Bay, au sous-sol du centre Times Square (décidément, que des noms américains !). En outre, le Bib Gourmand Macau/HK, récompensant les meilleurs rapports qualité/prix, en fait l'un de ses favoris.
La salle est, comme souvent dans bien des restaurants en Asie, bruyante, bondée, agitée. Nous n'attendons néanmoins pas très longtemps pour nous assoir. Le menu arrive, et nous choisissons des nouilles simples, avec juste un peu d'ail - afin de préserver leur goût et de pouvoir nous faire une réelle idée sans qu'autre chose ne vienne perturber notre impression - et quelques dumplings, d'autant que les prix varient entre 2 et 4 euros, nous donnant envie de prendre ça, ça et puis ça pour tester. Le service est rapide comme l'éclair ; à peine avons-nous passé commande, qu'une minute plus tard, peut-être deux, notre plat arrive. Hallucinant. En cuisine, ça doit envoyer, car les autres commandes seront aussi rapides à arriver. Une leçon de service.
Les pâtes sont vraiment bonnes. On aimerait avoir les mêmes chez soi pour cuisiner. A tort, nos repères italiens se rappellent à nous, mais ce qu'il faut faire ici, c'est tester les préparations asiatiques, et autres associations du coin. Next time. Nous n'avons pas plus faim que cela, surtout après avoir englouti les dumplings, dans lesquels nous retrouvons le jus que nous affectionnons tant (et dont on ne peut plus se passer désormais). Leur pâte est un peu plus épaisse que chez Din Taï Fung néanmoins.
Pour info, la clientèle est diverse. Nous croisons hommes d'affaires, groupes d'amis, ou d'autres couples comme nous. Celui de la table d'à coté nous propose de partager leur dessert, ce que nous faisons en poursuivant la discussion avec eux.
Un bon endroit pour bien manger, des produits frais, et pas cher

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!

Hi, I do believe your site might be having web browser compatibility problems. Whenever I take a look at your site in Safari, it looks fine however when opening in I.E., it has some overlapping issues. I merely wanted to give you a quick heads up! Besides that, great blog!

Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the images on this blog loading? I'm trying to find out if its a problem on my end or if it's the blog. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
